Merryn Herlihy

Merryn Herlihy

Merryn discovered yoga 25 years ago. Her teachers during this time have largely been Mark Bouckoms, Donna Farhi, Karla Brodie and Neal Ghoshal. She completed her first teacher training in 2012 (Donna Farhi Advanced Teacher Training), followed by further teacher training and professional development through Contemporary Yoga School (Auckland). Merryn is also trained in the art of Mental Health Aware Yoga and has completed Yoga for Kids Training. She has continued learning through personal practice exploring the many benefits of yoga.

Merryn’s classes provide a space where students can explore what feels safe, nourishing and beneficial for them. She provides variations of shapes (postures) and movement to cater to all levels of students.  Moving with ease, comfort and a ‘soft strength’ that is transferrable to everyday lives, is an important focus for Merryn. With a strong foundation of the breath supporting movement, classes invite a curiosity into sustainable ways of moving and being.
